About This Project

DeckShiv Neo is the second iteration of the DeckShiv push-style cutting tool, re-engineered from the ground up. The mechanism features 6.6mm of travel, four N52 magnets for magnetic engagement and return, a CNC-machined brass rail for guided contact, and a Pin + Stop Pin system for precise travel definition. Available in Titanium, Aluminum, and PEI finishes, it uses standard SK5 utility blades and includes a deep-carry clip with optional tritium vial. The team has extensive crowdfunding experience and estimates delivery in January 2027.

Risks & Challenges

The main risk is maintaining precision and consistent feel from prototype to mass production, as tight tolerances affect the overall experience. The team has completed multiple prototyping rounds, engineering samples, and material testing with manufacturing partners to mitigate this. Estimated delivery is January 2027.
